Cube 3D printer discussion / New Filament Cartridge shows up as empty

Really pissed at this freakin machine.
Left it for a long over night print just to find out in the morning that it aborted at about 90% of the way done.
Turns out the new legit neon green cartridge I bought at a Walmart is showing up as empty for some reason. I have opened it up and there is more that half of it still left in there. Plenty for at least another dozen prints.
Has this ever happened to anyone? This was only the third print that this cartridge had been used for.
Before this happened I tried to print a part with bulk filament while this cartridge was slid in. The print was tiny and consumed very little filament. Could this have caused this problem that has shown up now out of nowhere?
Is there a hack to trick the cartridge to register as a full one once again? Will it work on the 2.08 firmware?
