kisslicer infill settings
« on: February 05, 2015, 07:40:35 pm »
Does anyone have any settings to replicate the ones on the cube software for hollow,  strong,  and sold?   The program works great but I'm not sure how to achieve hollow and such.   I have been using the settings suggested in the other posts.   Thanks for any help.

Under style there is an infill slider.  0 = hollow,  100 = solid

Thanks.  One more question.  I printed a 25mm cube with both programs and the cube software was right on about 24.9.  The kisslicer was 24.5.  Any idea on how to adjust this?  I am using the kisslicer settings for the cube 2.

Does kisslicer have an option for extrusion multiplier?  Could it be the walls are thinner on the kisslicer models?

I'm not sure what you can change in kisslicer.  I'm still a novice on 3D printing and the slicers.  I do know that this one is a ton better than the cube software.  The only drawback is the printing time isn't updated like the cube software and you can't tell if you have enough filament left or not.  Hopefully before too long I can get this thing to print bulk.

I've never used the print time or remaining filament anyway.  On the cube they're as good as useless, certainly if using bulk filament.  Saying that, marlin firmware doesn't calculate remaining time or filament estimates very well either.  I guess there are a lot of variables related to print time and filament used that 3d printer firmware in general doesn't use.

Have you had a chance to play with kisslicer?  Any further thoughts?

Yeah, it seems to be working great and I finally figured out the infill settings.  I still can't seem to get it to print as accurately size wise as the cube software but hopefully someone might have an idea.
