Hotend issue
« on: February 25, 2016, 08:29:10 am »
Hello.
Ive had my Cube2 3d printer for a while and been having a whole variety of issues, of which I've seen alot of people have had the same.
I'm trying to get my head around the design of the hot end.
I believe I have blown the thermal fuse on the printer head, no buggy really, been to the local store to get replacements. But looking at the hot end, the wire coming off the thermal fuse goes onto the nozzle, wraps around quite alot, then comes back out. Its coated in what looks like cotton. For the life of me, I haven't been able to find what this is on Google.  My guess is, it's a thermal couple for a temperature sensor, or it is what heats up the nozzle.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what it actually is, before I start removing the wires for the thermal fuse?

Hi.
I also would like to know what kind of filament that is. I have to replace mine since it stoped working.
I tried to contact the company, but they are not willing to help me

THanks a lot
